One life. One story. One poem.

Every life deserves a poem.

A deeply personal poem, created from conversation and beautifully framed — a gift that celebrates who someone truly is.

How it works

Your memories, shaped into something lasting

You don’t need to be a writer or arrive with the perfect words. A relaxed conversation gives Mairéad everything she needs to create a poem that feels unmistakably personal.

Step 1

Conversation

We talk about the person, the memories you share and the small details that make them who they are.

Step 2

Write

Mairéad distils those stories and qualities into an original poem, written for them alone.

Step 3

Frame

The finished poem is thoughtfully presented and framed, ready to become part of their home.

Step 4

Gift

You give more than an object: you give someone the experience of feeling truly seen.

“
Not just a poem about their life — a reflection of what their life means to you.
A gift with meaning

For the moments that matter

Life Poetry is made for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, retirements and memorials — or simply for telling somebody what can be surprisingly difficult to say in everyday words.

Maurice & Trina’s story, made to keep

Mairéad gathered the memories, personalities and little details that make Maurice and Trina’s story their own. She shaped them into an original poem, paired it with a photograph and presented it as a beautifully framed keepsake.

“The taste of soy sauce from Trina’s cooking, or the smell of a good Bolognese, can be savored from their kitchen, a place where everybody has a good time when gathered there.”From “It Only Gets Better!”

It Only Gets Better!

She is a lioness, and he is her rock. Home is a mix of calmness, steadiness, the foundation where love, happiness, and their values also lie: honesty, compassion, and unconditional love.

Maurice and Trina, traveling widely and wildly, they stay grounded in who they are. “He has a really, really big heart. He’s so easy to love, so generous, kind, and passionate.” “She wants to live life and does it with a smile on her face.”

Who are the ones who will be there for you through thick and thin? Family. The taste of soy sauce from Trina’s cooking, or the smell of a good Bolognese, can be savored from their kitchen, a place where everybody has a good time when gathered there.

“The news” heard in their home is one happy song after another. Their peace can be found gazing at nature, be it an apple tree in the garden or a Japanese maple, where leaves reflect the change of season, turning from pink to green to brown to red to pink, while remaining grounded in the soil. Like a turtle floating on the ocean, they’ve learned to go with the flow of life.

May Maurice and Trina’s family stay rooted in love, strengthened by faith, guided by kindness, and blessed with health, endless joy, and unforgettable memories. Carpe diem. May they live a youthful and vibrant life. After all, it only gets better!

Another life, another story

“Nirvana” — a poem for John

John’s finished Life Poem brings together the ordinary details and deeper threads of his story — family, faith, nature, perseverance and the work of a lifetime.

“Roast potatoes for dinner.
Been writing a book for eight years now,
Maybe more.
The inner struggle persists.”From “Nirvana”

Nirvana

He looks out to infinity,
At the crashing waves on the horizon,
The love within like a lava flow
Trying to break through every time.

I’m right here with you, John.
I’m right here still with you.

It’s been a tough journey.
With each wave, John persists.
The waves were hard going,
But his connection to the Holy Spirit
Is stronger, deeper.

Violet flowers, foxgloves,
Grow in the park where he walks.
And God can see him from afar.
Or perhaps not so far.
Perhaps not so far.

Roast potatoes for dinner.
Been writing a book for eight years now,
Maybe more.
The inner struggle persists.
Religion, God, redemption, healing.
It’s one heck of an epic poem.
One hell of a life!

He’s grateful to still be alive,
Persisting, loving, writing, laughing,
Communicating, walking, talking,
Breathing, creating.

The journey has been tough,
Grueling at times,
But John is right here with us.

Right here still with us, God.
Here still with us.

Still with us God.

Right here.

Still with us.

Read John’s review

Mairéad wrote a bespoke poem just for me. She based it on an approximately hour-long interview she conducted over the phone to gain insight into how I felt about myself and my life.

Consequently, when I read the poem, it really spoke to me. I related to it so much. It has some lovely poetic touches and metaphors which add beauty and majesty to a description of my mundane life. Poetry can grant a sense of dignity to the struggle of life.

I’m forever grateful to Mairéad for giving me such a unique gift, beautifully framed alongside a photograph of me to hang on my wall. I would heartily recommend that anyone commission their own special poem from Mairéad. It’s a gift to yourself that’s utterly unique.

Listening for the story beneath the story

Every poem begins with listening. Mairéad takes time to understand the character, humour, relationships and memories that make a person unique.

From that conversation, she creates a piece that is honest, warm and specific — never generic, and never pulled from a template.

The result is a keepsake for today and a family treasure for years to come.
